Indian Student Goes Missing in the U.S. Family Expresses Concern

The disappearance of yet another Indian student in the U.S. has sparked local concern. Saketh Srinivasayya , 22, from Karnataka , is pursuing postgraduate studies at the prestigious University of California, Berkeley . He has been missing since last Tuesday, February 10 , prompting authorities to launch an intensive search operation .

Saketh’s disappearance has raised multiple concerns. According to The Berkeley Scanner , his bag was found near the backyard of a house in the Park Hills area of Berkeley. The bag contained valuables , including his passport and laptop , leading police to treat the case seriously . Eyewitnesses last spotted him near the 1700 block of Dwight Way .

The Consulate General of India in San Francisco expressed deep concern over the incident. It stated on social media that it is in constant contact with local police authorities to trace Saketh and is providing full assistance to his family. Reports indicate that Saketh is an alumnus of IIT Madras .

Police have provided a physical description : Saketh is approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall , with black hair , brown eyes , and weighing around 73 kilograms . Berkeley police have classified him as an “at-risk” individual and are conducting searches in the Lake Anza area .

Authorities urge anyone with information about Saketh to immediately contact the local police or the Indian Consulate . The recent spate of missing or deceased Indian students in the U.S. has heightened concerns among the Indian diaspora .
