Indian Basketball Teams Set for FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2026 in Singapore Today

The Indian men’s and women’s basketball teams will take part in the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2026 , scheduled from April 1 to 5 in Kallang, Singapore. The tournament, now in its ninth edition , will be live streamed in India on FIBA3x3 - The 3x3 Basketball Channel on YouTube, as it will not be broadcast on television.

A total of 12 teams in both men’s and women’s competitions will compete in the main draw , divided into four groups. India, however, will begin from the qualifying rounds , aiming to progress to the main stage.

The Indian men’s team , ranked 83rd in the world , is in Pool D of the qualifiers alongside Kazakhstan (55th) , Bahrain (19th) , and Hong Kong China (84th) . Only the group winner will advance to the main draw, where Qatar and New Zealand await. India has retained the same four-member squad that reached the quarter-finals last year after 12 years : Harsh Dagar, Arvind Muthu, Pranav Prince, and Kushal Singh . The men’s team has never won a medal at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup, while defending champions Australia , five-time winners, are in Pool B with China .

The Indian women’s team , ranked 88th , will start in Pool B of the qualifiers against Malaysia (44th) and Turkmenistan (70th) . The group winner will advance to face Mongolia and New Zealand in the main draw. The squad includes T Darshini, Pushpa Senthil Kumar, Sreekala Rani, and Sanjana Ramesh . India’s women had won the inaugural edition in 2013 , but last year failed to progress past qualifiers .
