India women squad announced for Australia Test in Perth

The Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCCI ) has announced a 15-player squad for the much-anticipated one-off Women’s Test against Australia , scheduled to be played at the iconic WACA Ground in Perth from March 6 to 9 . The match will mark a crucial moment in India’s multi-format tour Down Under, which begins on February 15 with a series of T20 Internationals and One-Day Internationals .

Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side, with Smriti Mandhana appointed as vice-captain, forming a leadership duo that brings experience and tactical depth to the team. The squad includes a mix of seasoned performers and exciting newcomers. Young pacers Kranti Gaud , Pratika Rawal , Vaishnavi Sharma , and Sayali Satghare have earned their maiden call-ups, reflecting the team’s focus on building a strong pace unit for the future. Alongside these fresh faces, established players like Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma have been retained, ensuring the team has both stability and firepower.
