The Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCCI ) has announced a 15-player squad for the much-anticipated one-off Women’s Test against Australia , scheduled to be played at the iconic WACA Ground in Perth from March 6 to 9 . The match will mark a crucial moment in India’s multi-format tour Down Under, which begins on February 15 with a series of T20 Internationals and One-Day Internationals .

Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side, with Smriti Mandhana appointed as vice-captain, forming a leadership duo that brings experience and tactical depth to the team. The squad includes a mix of seasoned performers and exciting newcomers. Young pacers Kranti Gaud , Pratika Rawal , Vaishnavi Sharma , and Sayali Satghare have earned their maiden call-ups, reflecting the team’s focus on building a strong pace unit for the future. Alongside these fresh faces, established players like Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma have been retained, ensuring the team has both stability and firepower. In the wicketkeeping department, Uma Chetry has been named as the backup wicketkeeper, providing additional support behind the stumps.
