India Tests Oppo Find N6 Foldable Smartphone With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
The Oppo Find N6, the rumoured successor to the Find N5 foldable smartphone, has reportedly entered testing in India, although the company has not confirmed any plans to launch the device in the country. The information was shared by tipster Debayan Roy (@Gadgetsdata), who stated that internal testing had been initiated, but clarified that an India launch “is not confirmed yet.”
The possibility of the handset arriving under the OnePlus branding was also ruled out by the tipster. This clarification was made in response to speculation, since several Oppo foldable models have previously been rebranded as OnePlus devices in global markets. The OnePlus Open, for example, had been introduced as the rebranded version of the Oppo Find N3. However, similar expectations around the Find N5 being rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 did not come true.
No official announcement has been made by Oppo regarding the Find N6, and all specifications shared so far are based on unverified leaks. These leaks have claimed that the upcoming device might be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, possibly making it the first foldable phone with the processor. Satellite communication support has also been suggested for the top variant, although this remains unconfirmed.
According to the leaked information, the Find N6 may feature an 8.1-inch inner display and a 6.6-inch cover screen, along with a design that is expected to be thinner and lighter than typical foldable smartphones. Wireless charging, customizable buttons, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor have also been mentioned among possible features. A battery capacity exceeding 6,000mAh has been rumoured.
Camera specifications, which remain unofficial, have indicated the use of a 50-megapixel Sony LYT808 primary sensor and a 50-megapixel 3x thin periscope lens. Multispectral imaging support is also said to be included. These features, if confirmed, are expected to offer improved photography performance.
Analysts have suggested that if the Find N6 reaches India, consumers may benefit from advancements such as better multitasking through a large foldable display, longer battery life, improved camera capabilities, and enhanced connectivity features. The combination of a thin design and powerful hardware could also appeal to users seeking high-performance foldable devices.
However, since Oppo has not issued any official confirmation regarding the Find N6’s specifications or launch plans, all leaked details must be treated as preliminary. The company is expected to announce formal information once the device is ready for public release.
