India Storms Into Eight Finals at Asian U-19 & U-23 Boxing Championships

India's young boxing contingent produced another commanding performance at the Asian U-19 & U-23 Boxing Championships , with eight boxers advancing to the finals and seven others securing bronze medals , underlining the country's growing strength in the sport.

The Indian women led the charge in the U-23 category , where five boxers booked their places in the title bouts . Nisha (54kg) outclassed Korea's Hyeju Lee, while Nikita Chand (60kg) defeated Japan's Sarii Kokufu with authority. Kajal (65kg) overwhelmed Kyrgyzstan's Gulzina Melsvek to continue her impressive run.

India's dominance was even more evident in several contests where referees stopped the bouts because of the clear superiority shown by the Indian fighters. Muskan (75kg) earned a unanimous 5-0 victory over Uzbekistan's Toirova Oysha, and Priyanka (+80kg) produced another emphatic 5-0 win against Kazakhstan's Panar Seiitkhankyzy.

The men also made a strong impact, with three Indians reaching the finals . Vishvanath Suresh (50kg) cruised to a 5-0 victory against his Filipino opponent, while Ganga (55kg) held his nerve to secure a hard-fought 3-2 split-decision win over a Japanese rival. Vanshaj (65kg) completed the finalists' list with a convincing 4-1 victory over an opponent from Kyrgyzstan.

India's medal tally received another significant boost through the semifinalists who claimed bronze medals. In the women's U-23 division, Tanu (51kg), Prachi (57kg), Shivani (70kg), and Naina (80kg) finished on the podium. In the men's competition, Hitesh (70kg), Neeraj (75kg), and Ishan Kataria (+90kg) also secured bronze medals.

With 15 medals already assured and eight boxers preparing for gold-medal bouts, India has once again announced itself as one of the strongest forces in Asian boxing, and the team will now look to convert its impressive run into a memorable haul of championship titles.
