India sets three Guinness World Records as PM Modi hails women-centric initiative

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the creation of three Guinness World Records titles under the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA), calling it a commendable milestone in India’s ongoing efforts toward women’s empowerment and preventive healthcare.

Responding to a post by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on X, the Prime Minister said such large-scale public movements strengthen women empowerment efforts and have a transformative impact on the lives of Nari Shakti.

According to the Ministry, the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan has achieved three Guinness World Records titles:

• Most people register for a health care platform in one month – 3,21,49,711 participants.

• Most people sign up for a breast cancer screening online in one week – 9,94,349 participants.

• Most people sign up for vital signs screening online in one week (at state level) – 1,25,406 participants.

The campaign, held from September 17 to October 2, 2025, coincided with Poshan Maah and was aimed at improving health and nutrition among women, adolescent girls, and children. The nationwide effort saw participation from over 20 central ministries, state governments, medical colleges, and private organisations.

In total, the campaign organised 19.7 lakh health camps and recorded over 11 crore footfalls, reflecting India’s vast community mobilisation in preventive healthcare.

Under the guidance of Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, the Ministry described the recognition as a “proud moment for every Indian,” signifying India’s growing capacity for large-scale health initiatives.

The Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan translating to Healthy Woman, Empowered Family underscores the government’s vision of inclusive, women-centric healthcare, aligning with broader national missions such as Ayushman Bharat and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.
