Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Friday called for India and Poland to translate their strategic partnership into concrete business collaborations, including joint ventures, while expanding cooperation in technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and aerospace.

Addressing the India-Poland Business Forum in Bengaluru, Tusk said the two countries should move beyond traditional trade and strengthen technological cooperation to boost their economies and improve access to global markets.

“Now it is time to translate these declarations into joint ventures,” the visiting prime minister said, emphasising the need to turn bilateral commitments into tangible economic outcomes. Tusk highlighted the importance of closer collaboration in emerging technologies and advanced sectors, saying such partnerships could create opportunities for businesses in both countries.

He said greater technological cooperation would help strengthen economic ties and enable companies to expand their presence in international markets. The Polish leader also praised Bengaluru’s position as a global technology and innovation hub, citing the city as an example of how investment in human capital, knowledge and entrepreneurship can transform an economy.

“This place (Bengaluru) shows how investing in people, knowledge, and entrepreneurship can change the position of the entire economy,” he said. Tusk’s remarks come as India and Poland seek to deepen their strategic partnership through stronger economic engagement and cooperation in sectors with significant growth potential.

The emphasis on joint ventures signals a push towards direct business partnerships, moving beyond declarations of intent and conventional trade exchanges. Cooperation in technology, AI and aerospace could open avenues for companies to explore new markets, share expertise and develop commercially viable projects.
