India have named a strong seven-member squad for the Hong Kong Sixes 2026, with experienced pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar set to captain the side in the fast-paced six-a-side tournament.

The squad features Bhuvneshwar, Krunal Pandya, Nitish Rana, Shashank Singh, T Natarajan, Rahul Tripathi and Rahul Tewatia, bringing together proven IPL performers with a mix of pace, power-hitting and all-round ability.

Bhuvneshwar's experience with the new ball will be particularly valuable in a format where games can turn within a few deliveries. Alongside him, Natarajan provides another left-arm pace option, while Krunal, Tewatia and Shashank add depth with their all-round skills and aggressive batting.

Rana and Tripathi, both known for their attacking approach, are expected to play key roles in India's batting. The squad's combination of experience and current domestic T20 exposure gives India a considerably different look from some of their recent Hong Kong Sixes campaigns.

India will begin their campaign against Pakistan on October 30 in Group C at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground. The tournament will run until November 1, with teams battling through the abbreviated format, where every over and every wicket can have a major impact on the result.

The contest against Pakistan is likely to attract immediate attention, particularly with Pakistan entering the tournament as the defending champions. India will be looking to make a stronger impact after falling short in recent editions.

With a squad built around players who remain active in competitive T20 cricket, India will hope the blend of experience, athleticism and attacking intent can help them go deep into the tournament and challenge for the title.
