Indian cricketers continued to dominate the ICC T20I rankings with opener Abhishek Sharma, spinner Varun Chakravarthy, and all-rounder Hardik Pandya retaining their top spots in the latest update released on Wednesday.

Chakravarthy, who rose to the No.1 bowler’s position last week, further strengthened his hold with a 14-point boost, moving to 747 rating points. Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed, meanwhile, made headlines with another huge jump, climbing 12 more places after surging 11 spots last week. Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman also returned to the top 10 bowlers, thanks to six wickets at an average of eight in his last two games.

On the all-rounders’ chart, Pandya remained firmly at No.1. His bowling performances also saw him rise six spots to 60th among bowlers.

Among the batters, Abhishek Sharma continued his rich form. He scored a brisk 38 against Oman and followed it up with a match-winning 74 against Pakistan to remain the world’s top-ranked T20I batter. Tilak Varma, who supported him with an unbeaten 30 off 19 in the Pakistan chase, climbed to No.3, while captain Suryakumar Yadav moved closer to the top five after gaining a place.

Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan surged 31 spots to 24th after a fighting half-century against India, while teammate Hussain Talat made an astonishing leap of 1,474 places to joint 234th following his composed innings against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh’s Saif Hassan also entered the spotlight, jumping 133 places to 81st after a match-winning 61 in the Asia Cup Super Fours.

India’s dominance at the top, coupled with dramatic leaps from Pakistan and Bangladesh players, has set the tone for an exciting season of T20 cricket.

The 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup will be the 10th edition. It will be conducted in March 2026 hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
