India on Saturday strongly condemned recent air strikes carried out by Pakistan inside Afghanistan, saying the attacks resulted in civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure while violating Afghanistan’s sovereignty.

Responding to media queries, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the strikes were unacceptable and urged full respect for Afghanistan’s territorial integrity .

“India condemns the air strikes by Pakistan in Afghanistan’s territory, leading to the death of several civilians and destruction of civilian infrastructure,” Jaiswal said in an official statement.

He described the action as “yet another act of aggression ” by the Pakistani establishment and reiterated India’s longstanding position supporting a sovereign and stable Afghanistan .

“India reiterates that Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity should be fully respected,” he added.

The condemnation comes amid reports that the Pakistani military has conducted aerial operations across the border in recent weeks, as tensions between Islamabad and Kabul have escalated . The strikes are believed to be part of Pakistan’s efforts to target militant groups operating along the porous frontier, though they have drawn criticism for impacting civilians.

India has consistently advocated for peace, stability, and non-interference in Afghanistan, emphasizing that disputes should be resolved through dialogue rather than military action.
