Iconic Shadi Khana to Be Built in Gudivada Soon, Says MLA Venigandla Ramu

The long-pending demand for a Shadi Khana in Gudivada is set to become a reality, with MLA Venigandla Ramu announcing that the project will soon be launched with the support of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

According to the MLA, the proposed facility will be developed as an iconic, modern community hall equipped with contemporary amenities and designed to meet future requirements. The state government has accelerated the planning process to ensure the project moves forward at the earliest.

Venigandla Ramu said the need for a Shadi Khana was recently brought to the Chief Minister's attention during the Swarna Andhra–Swachh Andhra programme. Responding positively to the proposal, Chandrababu Naidu assured his support for the construction of the facility, paving the way for the project.

As part of the next phase, the MLA chaired a special review meeting on Sunday at the Gudivada Praja Vedika office with officials from the Minority Welfare Department, engineering officials and planning experts. The meeting focused on the project's technical specifications, architectural design, estimated cost, execution plan and the roadmap for implementation. Officials were also given directions to expedite the preparatory work.

Addressing the gathering, Venigandla Ramu said the government is committed to fulfilling a long-standing aspiration of the minority community. He noted that a professional consultancy agency is preparing a state-of-the-art design for the Shadi Khana to ensure it serves the community for decades.

The MLA also clarified that the facility would not be restricted to the minority community alone. Instead, it will be made available to economically weaker sections from all communities, making it a shared public asset.

He added that the tender process will be completed on priority, following which construction work will commence. Urging public participation, Venigandla Ramu appealed to members of the minority community to extend their cooperation for the successful execution of the prestigious project.
