HYDRAA, which has been working with the objective of protecting government assets in the city, has recorded another major success. The agency conducted a large-scale operation near the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Madhapur.

In a major drive carried out in the Khanamet area on Thursday, HYDRAA reclaimed 11 acres of government land valued at approximately Rs 2,200 crore from encroachers.

Local residents had lodged complaints through the HYDRAA helpline, alleging encroachments on government land and lake poramboke land in the Khanamet vicinity. Acting on the complaints, HYDRAA officials, along with Revenue authorities, conducted an inquiry on January 31 . The alleged encroachers were also present during the proceedings. After a detailed examination of satellite maps, Revenue officials confirmed that the 11-acre parcel belonged to the government and had been encroached upon.

Following due notice and after granting reasonable time to the encroachers, the HYDRAA team removed temporary sheds and shops erected on the site.

By reclaiming the valuable land located adjacent to a lake, the government has safeguarded a significant public asset. Through this operation, HYDRAA once again warned that it will not spare anyone who attempts to encroach upon government property.
