The city of Hyderabad is gearing up to welcome one of football’s greatest icons, Lionel Messi, as part of the GOAT India Tour 2025. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his excitement over the Argentine superstar’s upcoming visit, saying the city is ready to host Messi with pride and warmth.

Responding to Messi’s recent social media announcement that Hyderabad has been added to his tour alongside Kolkata, Mumbai, and Delhi, the Chief Minister shared his anticipation for December 13, the date of Messi’s Hyderabad appearance. “It is an exciting moment for our city and for every football fan who has dreamt of seeing a legend like you on our soil,” Reddy posted on X.

Messi also took to Instagram to express his gratitude and enthusiasm for the tour. “Thanks for all the love from India! The GOAT tour kicks off in a few weeks' time!!! I’m happy to share that Hyderabad has been added to my visits to Kolkata, Mumbai, and Delhi. See you soon, India!” he wrote.

The Hyderabad leg of the GOAT India Tour will take place at Gachibowli Stadium, promising a star-studded affair with a celebrity football match, a masterclass for young scouted players, a penalty shootout, and a musical concert in Messi’s honour. Following Kolkata, Hyderabad will host the football legend on the evening of December 13, joining the other major Indian cities in celebrating one of the game’s greatest talents.
