The Telangana government has announced plans to name key roads in and around the state capital after prominent national and international figures.

As part of the proposed Regional Ring Road development, a new greenfield radial road will be named after the late industrialist Ratan Tata.

Additionally, a high-profile road near the U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad is set to be named “Donald Trump Avenue” , according to government proposals. Officials said the decision will be formally communicated in writing to the U.S. Ministry of External Affairs.

Earlier this year, during the annual U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) meeting in Delhi, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had suggested naming prominent Hyderabad roads after globally recognized corporate leaders. Following this idea, the government has proposed naming a road in the new financial district, home to Google’s largest campus outside the U.S., as “Google Street” .

The government is also considering naming roads after other tech giants, including Microsoft and Wipro Junction, to reflect the city’s growing status as an innovation hub. These moves are part of a broader effort to position Telangana as a center for technology, business, and global connectivity.
