Hyderabad Govt Steps In as Auto LPG Shortage Disrupts Transport

The government is taking precautionary measures to ensure that the city’s transport system is not affected by a disruption in the supply of LPG used by autorickshaws .

Under the guidance of Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy , officials are holding consultations to restore supply at the earliest and reduce congestion through coordinated efforts.

Discussions are being held continuously with oil companies and other stakeholders to overcome the shortage and minimise disruptions in supply.

With the availability of autos declining, the government has decided to operate additional Hyderabad Metro Rail and RTC bus services to prevent inconvenience to commuters. Bus trips are being increased on key routes to ensure smooth transportation.

Meetings are also being conducted with auto unions and gas dealers to create awareness about the current situation and to move forward with coordinated efforts.

The Minister reiterated that the convenience of citizens is the top priority , and assured that the government is committed to ensuring a smooth and reliable public transport system across the city. He also appealed to the public to cooperate until the LPG shortage is resolved.
