In a remarkable display of devotion to Lord Sri Venkateswara , Hyderabad resident Rachamallu Venkata Sujitha has donated ₹1 crore to the Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust , managed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) . On Friday, she personally handed over the donation cheque to TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu at the Tirumala camp office.

The trust was set up to preserve the sacred and cultural significance of cows in Hindu tradition. The generous funds will support thousands of cows in goshalas across Tirumala and Tirupati, ensuring proper nutrition, medical care, and other essential facilities. TTD highlighted that contributions from devotees play a crucial role in strengthening the management and upkeep of these goshalas.

As per TTD regulations, every contribution to the Gosamrakshana Trust is matched with an equal amount from the TTD, effectively doubling the impact of each donation and enhancing the trust’s financial sustainability. Officials noted that substantial donations like this provide vital impetus to cow protection and welfare initiatives.

TTD, beyond managing temple affairs, also actively serves the community through education , healthcare, annaprasadam distribution, and religious programs. Devotees continue to participate enthusiastically in these initiatives, and the latest ₹1 crore donation marks another significant milestone in TTD’s ongoing efforts toward cow welfare.
