Hyd sets record with ₹3,135 cr Raidurg land deal
The Telangana government has achieved a major milestone in India’s real estate sector, with two parcels of prime land in Raidurg fetching a combined revenue of nearly ₹3,135 crore in an auction. This marks one of the highest-value land auctions in Hyderabad’s history.
According to an official press release, the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) conducted the auction for two plots located in Hyderabad Knowledge City, one of the city’s most prominent commercial zones near HITEC City and Gachibowli.
The second parcel - Plot No. 19 near My Home Bhooja, measuring 11 acres - recorded a winning bid of ₹141.5 crore per acre, totaling around ₹1,556.5 crore. Among the five bidders who participated in the auction, it was purchased by Prestige Group (a leading Indian real estate development company). Earlier in the day, the first parcel - Plot No. 15A/2 near Sattva Knowledge Park, spanning 7.67 acres - was sold for ₹1,358 crore to MSN Realty (the real estate arm of the MSN Group, a major Indian pharmaceutical company ) amounting to nearly ₹177 crore per acre after strong competition among 12 bidders.
The government stated that, in addition to the auction revenue, the state will earn extra income through registration charges and stamp duties, taking the total estimated revenue from both auctions to about ₹3,135 crore.
Officials said the record-breaking bids highlight Hyderabad’s growing appeal as a top investment destination and demonstrate the city’s steady rise as a major business and technology hub. The land parcels are expected to host large-scale commercial developments that will further boost infrastructure, employment, and economic growth in the region.
The Telangana government attributed the success to its transparent and investor-friendly policies. It also credited Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu for creating a positive environment for investment and development in the state.
TSIIC Vice Chairman and Managing Director expressed gratitude to the government for entrusting the corporation with this landmark auction. He also thanked all bidders for their trust in Telangana’s growth story and appreciated the efforts of TSIIC staff, along with partners JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle, a global real estate services firm) and MSTC (Metal Scrap Trade Corporation, a government-owned e-commerce company in India that also handles auctions for various assets, including land) for ensuring a smooth and transparent auction process.
