V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, conducted surprise midnight inspections across key areas of the city to assess police performance and ensure citizen safety. The Commissioner focused on the South West Zone during this unexpected tour.

Without any prior notice or sirens, CP Sajjanar visited homes of several known troublemakers in the Langer House Police Station jurisdiction, including MD Lines, Ashram Nagar, and Defence Colonies. He reviewed their past conduct, current activities, and lifestyles, warning that strict action would be taken against anyone attempting criminal activities again. The Commissioner also urged residents to adopt responsible behavior and contribute positively to society.

From midnight to 3 a.m., the Commissioner inspected main roads, key junctions, and sensitive areas under Langer House and Tolichowki Police Stations. He also checked hotels and businesses operating late at night, ensuring they complied with permitted operating hours.

During the patrols, CP Sajjanar interacted directly with officers on duty, reviewing patrol points, response times, and problem-solving procedures. He examined station general diaries, night records, duty rosters, and attendance to ensure operational readiness.

The Commissioner emphasized that such surprise inspections help improve night policing and deliver effective services to the public. He said these field missions are crucial for accountability, quick response, and creating a safe environment during nighttime. CP Sajjanar also reminded officers to remain vigilant, maintain discipline, and respond promptly to incidents, highlighting that such measures are key to ensuring public safety and maintaining citizens’ trust in the police system.
