Prime Video on Tuesday announced its new film “Mess”, marking its second collaboration with Hrithik Roshan’s production banner HRX Films .

Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, the film follows a motley group of robbers who, after breaking into a family home, gradually realise it is not the occupants but themselves who must survive a tense, night-long standoff. The project blends comedy with suspense , promising an unconventional narrative.

Roshan is producing the film alongside Eshaan Roshan and Krishnan’s Soda Films Lab. The collaboration builds on the earlier announcement of “Storm”, a thriller series unveiled in October last year, which marked the beginning of the partnership between the actor’s banner and the streaming platform.

Calling “Storm” the “start of something special” , Roshan said “Mess” represents a natural progression for HRX Films. He praised Krishnan’s creative vision, noting his ability to craft engaging stories that combine humour with compelling storytelling. The actor added that the team is excited about the project’s potential as production gathers pace, expressing confidence that the film will appeal to audiences seeking fresh, genre-defying content .

Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, described “Mess” as having a “refreshingly original premise” and a distinctive set of characters. He said the story is designed to surprise viewers while keeping them entertained throughout, adding that it also delivers humour at every step. Madhok further noted that the collaboration with Roshan and his team reflects a shared passion for strong storytelling, and the platform is pleased to deepen its association with HRX Films following “Storm”.

HRX Films operates as a division of FilmKraft Productions, founded by Rakesh Roshan. The banner is known for backing several popular titles, including “Karan Arjun”, “Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai”, “Koi... Mil Gaya” and “Krrish”.
