Telangana’s tourism calendar gained a major new attraction as the Hot Air Balloon Festival was launched near the historic Golconda Fort , signalling the state’s strong push towards adventure tourism and experiential travel . The three-day festival, being held from January 16 to 18, 2026 , is organised by Telangana Tourism and features 15 international-standard balloons operated by trained pilots, positioning it as one of the state’s most visually striking tourism initiatives.
