Horror in Pedaparupudi: Four-Year-Old Girl Assaulted by Relative

A shocking case of child sexual assault has surfaced in Krishna district , sending shockwaves through the local community. The accused, a close relative entrusted with the child’s care, has been arrested by police.

According to officials, the incident occurred in Pedaparupudi mandal . The victim’s mother had left for her parental home on February 5 due to family disputes. Taking advantage of her absence, the accused allegedly assaulted the four-year-old girl on February 7 after bathing her.

The crime came to light on February 14, when the mother returned and learned about the incident. She immediately lodged a complaint at the local police station.

Police acted swiftly, taking the accused into custody. During interrogation, he reportedly confessed to the offence. A case has been registered under Section 65(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 4 of the POCSO Act, 2012 .

Medical examinations of the minor have been conducted, and necessary evidence has been collected, police said. The accused will be produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.

Authorities clarified that, in accordance with legal provisions protecting minors, the victim’s identity is being kept confidential. A detailed investigation is currently underway.
