Hombale Films Takes PEDDI Global with Overseas Distribution Venture

Production powerhouse Hombale Films has expanded its footprint in the film business by stepping into international distribution with the upcoming Telugu sports action drama PEDDI , starring Ram Charan in the lead role.

The banner, founded by producer Vijay Kiragandur, rose to national prominence with blockbuster productions such as KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2, starring Yash. The company further strengthened its reputation with critically acclaimed and commercially successful films including Kantara, directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, as well as Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire featuring Prabhas. Hombale is also backing the upcoming Kantara: Chapter 1, one of the most awaited projects in Indian cinema.

The production house announced that it will distribute PEDDI internationally under its newly launched division, Hombale Overseas. The move marks the company’s official entry into the overseas distribution market, further strengthening its presence beyond film production.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, PEDDI is positioned as a rural sports action entertainer set in Andhra Pradesh. The film features Ram Charan in the role of a spirited villager determined to protect his community’s pride through sports. Actress Janhvi Kapoor stars opposite him, while veteran actor Shiva Rajkumar plays a pivotal role.

The film has already generated strong buzz among audiences due to its combination of large-scale action, emotional storytelling, and an accomplished technical crew. Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman is scoring the music, adding to the project’s nationwide appeal.

Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, PEDDI is expected to be one of the major Telugu releases of the season. Industry observers believe Hombale Films’ growing reputation in delivering commercially successful films could significantly boost the movie’s international reach and box-office prospects.

With a strong cast, high production values, and the backing of one of Indian cinema’s most successful banners, PEDDI is shaping up to be a highly anticipated pan-Indian entertainer.
