History Made! Hyderabad E-Champions Become the First TG20 Kings

Hyderabad E-Champions etched their name into the record books by defeating Anvita Khammam Aces by six wickets to win the inaugural Sreenidhi University TG20 Trophy on Sunday. Guided by a composed all-round performance, the E-Champions completed the chase with 15 balls to spare , capping off a memorable campaign with a commanding victory in the final.

After being asked to bowl, Hyderabad's attack produced a disciplined display to restrict the Aces to 157/8 in 20 overs . Left-arm spinner Yashveer Goud emerged as the standout performer, returning excellent figures of 3/17 and applying the brakes in the middle overs. He was well supported by Dev Mehta (2/25) , Shanmukha Ashwin (2/31) and Ajay Dev Goud (2/36) , each claiming two wickets.

For the Aces, Mickil Jaiswal fought valiantly with a fluent 65 , while Himateja Kodimela added 31 . However, regular wickets prevented the side from building the kind of total that could seriously test Hyderabad.

Chasing 158, the E-Champions began positively before captain Abhirath Reddy took control of the contest. The skipper smashed a brisk 48 off 30 balls , combining aggression with authority to put his team firmly ahead of the required rate. Shanmukha Ashwin added further momentum with a quickfire 36 from 21 deliveries , while Vaishnav Reddy calmly guided the chase to completion with an unbeaten 41 off 28 balls .

The winning runs sparked celebrations as Hyderabad E-Champions became the first team to claim the Sreenidhi University TG20 Trophy, a triumph built on disciplined bowling, fearless batting and inspiring leadership from their captain.
