Harsha Chemudu’s latest Telugu web series, 'Least Eligible Bachelor', has climbed to the top of Netflix India’s daily Top 10 shows chart, overtaking the popular Hindi comedy programme 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'. The development has put the six-episode romantic comedy in the spotlight just days after its digital premiere.

Directed by Babu Degala, the series premiered on October 9 and is streaming on both Netflix and ETV Win. The cast includes Harsha Chemudu, popularly known as Viva Harsha, alongside Hyper Aadi, Aishwarya Holakkal, Jeevan Kumar, Sri Vidhya and Roopa Sravya, among others. The series is available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, expanding its reach beyond its original-language audience./

The series has also reportedly crossed 100 million streaming minutes on ETV Win, adding to its growing digital visibility. However, this milestone relates to ETV Win and should not be confused with Netflix viewership figures.

'Least Eligible Bachelor' follows Teja, a young man from a village who faces repeated rejections in arranged marriage proposals because of his looks. Hoping to improve his prospects, he moves to Hyderabad for a software job. However, his search for a suitable partner takes an unexpected turn when Madhu, his boss, becomes his prospective bride.

The two agree to live together for six months before deciding whether to marry, setting the stage for workplace complications, relationship dilemmas and situational comedy. The series explores the pressures surrounding marriage, family expectations and the challenges faced by young bachelors.

The show's performance on Netflix India is particularly noteworthy because it has moved ahead of 'The Great Indian Kapil Show', which returned for its fifth season on September 26. However, Netflix's global Top 10 rankings are separate from its country-specific daily charts and will offer a broader picture of the series' international performance when updated.
