The magic of Hogwarts has come alive again, this time on Broadway. Tom Felton, the actor who brought Draco Malfoy to life in the Harry Potter films, has returned to the wizarding world with his stage debut in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

The moment Felton stepped onto the stage, the theatre erupted with cheers and applause. “I need a favour,” he began, instantly transporting fans back to the world they grew up with. The official Cursed Child Instagram handle shared a video of his entrance, captioned, “It’s true then, what they’re saying on the train. Tom Felton has come to Broadway”, a clever nod to Malfoy’s memorable line from The Sorcerer’s Stone.

Felton’s casting was first revealed in June, sparking excitement among Potterheads worldwide. Speaking about the emotional moment he slipped back into the role, Felton said, “When they put my blonde wig on for the theater production, I just immediately cried. It was like a blast from the past.”

Now performing in a 19-week Broadway engagement, Felton has become the first actor from the Harry Potter films to join The Cursed Child cast. The play, set 19 years after the events of the original series, follows the next generation, the children of Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco, as they begin their own journeys at Hogwarts.

For longtime fans, Felton’s return is more than a performance, it’s a heartfelt homecoming to a world that continues to enchant audiences nearly three decades after its first spell was cast.
