'Haiwaan' Teaser: Akshay Kumar Turns Sinister, Saif Ali Khan Plays Blind Man

The official teaser of director Priyadarshan's 'Haiwaan' has been released, giving audiences their first detailed glimpse of the dark thriller starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. The teaser builds intrigue around the two actors while deliberately keeping the film's central mystery under wraps.

The teaser presents Saif Ali Khan as a blind man, seen navigating his surroundings with the help of a stick, while Akshay Kumar appears to be closely watching him. Their characters seem to be at the heart of the mystery, but the nature of their relationship remains unclear. The teaser repeatedly builds suspense around the question “Hero ya Haiwaan?”, leaving viewers to wonder who is actually on which side.

Rather than revealing the storyline, the glimpse relies on shadows, atmospheric visuals, danger and suspense. It hints at a confrontation between the two leads while withholding crucial plot details, adding to the film's mysterious tone. The makers have positioned the thriller around themes of mystery, danger and “haiwaaniyat”.

The film features an ensemble cast including Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher and Shriya Pilgaonkar, along with Rajpal Yadav, Sharib Hashmi, Rajesh Sharma, Pahal Chaudhary and Manoj Joshi.

'Haiwaan' is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films. The screenplay is credited to Priyadarshan, Abilash Nair and Rohan Shankar, with Pritam composing the music.

The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 11, 2026. With Priyadarshan using the teaser to conceal rather than reveal the story, the film's biggest draw is currently the unanswered question of how Akshay and Saif's characters are connected — and who among them truly represents the “Haiwaan.”
