Guns, Gore and Romance: Lokesh Kanagaraj steps into spotlight as Actor

A newly released teaser clip from an upcoming Tamil film has sparked intense discussion online, blending romance with raw violence and setting the tone for a dark, unconventional love story.

The gritty video features shadowy confrontations, women in sarees caught in moments of tension, chaotic gunfights, and blood splatters , hinting at a tragic romance inspired by the classic Devadas narrative. The project marks the acting debut of filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj , who steps in front of the camera for the first time under the direction of Arun Matheswaran .

The bloody romantic crime thriller also stars Wamiqa Gabbi as the female lead. The teaser follows an earlier poster reveal that depicted two guns arranged in the shape of a heart , symbolising a love story forged in violence. A single from the film had already been released earlier, building anticipation among fans.

Music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander , whose background score in the teaser has drawn widespread praise. Social media reactions applauded Anirudh’s intense soundscape and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s commanding screen presence, with many calling the combination “unexpected but intriguing.”
