Gumpu Mestri Goes to Cambridge. Revanth Bhai. Harvard MBA!
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is headed to one of the world’s most prestigious classrooms, enrolling in a leadership programme at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. The course, titled “Leadership for the 21st Century: Chaos, Conflict and Courage,” will be held from January 25 to 30 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Known for describing himself as a “Gumpu Mestri” a leader who manages crowds and coordinates moving parts, Revanth Reddy will now apply that hands-on approach in an academic setting. The programme brings together participants from over 20 countries and focuses on leadership during uncertainty, conflict resolution and decision-making under pressure.
The Chief Minister will attend classes on campus, participate in group discussions, analyse global case studies, complete assignments and submit homework alongside international peers.
On completion, he will receive a certification from Harvard University, becoming the first serving Chief Minister from India to do so.
From political ground realities to Ivy League theory, the Gumpu Mestri’s next worksite is Cambridge.
