The Gujarat Titans franchise was on Thursday announced to have entered into a sponsorship agreement with Birla Estates, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aditya Birla Real Estate Limited (ABREL), which has been named the team’s principal sponsor for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season.

The new partnership was announced following the exit of Dream11, the fantasy gaming platform that had previously served as the Titans’ lead sponsor. Dream11 was among several real-money gaming companies whose operations were significantly reduced after the Government of India imposed a nationwide ban on real-money online gaming in August 2025.

The ban had been introduced through a new central legislation aimed at preventing gambling addiction, financial fraud, and youth exploitation linked to online betting platforms. The law was applied uniformly to both domestic and foreign-based companies offering cash-based online games, leading many, including Dream11, to suspend or curtail their business activities in India.

Speaking about the new association, KT Jithendran, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Birla Estates, said the collaboration was envisioned to strengthen the company’s engagement with millions of cricket fans across India and abroad. “This partnership allows us to celebrate shared values of passion, perseverance, and progress. Together, we hope to build something truly special that resonates both on and off the field,” he stated.

Colonel Arvinder Singh, Chief Operating Officer of Gujarat Titans, said the association with Birla Estates was viewed as an important step in enhancing the franchise’s brand value. “Partnering with Birla Estates not only strengthens our brand portfolio but also reflects our commitment to collaborating with respected institutions that elevate our presence across regions. Together, we aim to create unique experiences that drive mutual growth,” he said.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by either side. The Gujarat Titans, led by India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill, were earlier noted for making a remarkable debut in IPL 2022, when the team clinched the championship title in their inaugural season.
