Gujarat hosted a State-level Vidyanjali Orientation Programme on December 8, 2025 , aimed at strengthening the effective implementation of the Vidyanjali initiative across the state. The programme sought to sensitise key stakeholders, including education officials, school leaders, volunteers, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partners, about their roles in supporting government and government-aided schools.

Vidyanjali, an initiative under the Ministry of Education’s Samagra Shiksha programme, encourages community members, professionals, youth groups, and organisations to contribute their time, expertise, and resources to enhance school learning environments, co-curricular activities, and infrastructure.

The orientation programme provided detailed guidance on the use of the Vidyanjali online portal , covering volunteer registration, onboarding, and aligning community contributions with specific school needs. Best practices from existing implementations were shared to highlight effective collaboration models between schools and community stakeholders.

Discussions also focused on planning, coordination, monitoring, and sustainability of volunteer and CSR interventions, with emphasis on ensuring that contributions lead to long-term improvements in school education and infrastructure.

The programme enabled interactive sessions among state and district education officials, school heads, and other stakeholders, fostering collaboration and reinforcing the importance of community-driven efforts to improve school education in Gujarat.
