Guinness world record Bathukamma, CM Revanth hails tourism minister

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Anumula congratulated Tourism Minister Shri Jupally Krishna Rao and the officials for achieving a Guinness World Record for the largest Bathukamma festival conducted under government supervision. The festival was held at Hyderabad’s Saroornagar Stadium and was recognized not only as the largest Bathukamma but also as the largest folk traditional dance.

The achievement highlights Telangana’s vibrant cultural heritage and the state government’s efforts to promote local traditions. Bathukamma is a floral festival celebrated with great enthusiasm across Telangana, and this record-breaking event brought together thousands of participants in a grand celebration of the state’s culture.

Following the success of the event, Tourism Minister Shri Jupally Krishna Rao, Tourism Department Special Principal Secretary Shri Jayesh Ranjan, and Telangana Tourism Development Corporation MD Valluru Kranti met the Chief Minister at his Jubilee Hills residence. They expressed their gratitude for his support and guidance, which played a key role in organizing the festival at such a large scale.

The government hopes that this recognition will encourage more people to participate in Telangana’s cultural events and attract tourists to experience the state’s rich traditions.
