Sri Rama Navami celebrations were held across the state on Friday with deep devotion and spiritual fervour , as devotees thronged temples from villages to major cities for darshan.

At Bhadrachalam , revered as the “Dakshina Ayodhya” , the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Kalyanotsavam was conducted in a grand manner. Held at the Mithila Stadium on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, the celestial wedding ceremony drew a large number of devotees.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy , along with his family, participated in the celebrations and, on behalf of the state government, offered silk clothes and pearl talambralu to the deities. He later had darshan of the presiding deity and received blessings from Vedic scholars. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka , ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao , Konda Surekha , Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy , Seethakka , Vakiti Srihari , along with DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy and other senior officials, were also present.

The Chief Minister announced a major initiative to develop the Bhadrachalam temple into an international spiritual centre and performed the ground-breaking ceremony for development works worth ₹351 crore in the first phase. The plan includes ₹180 crore for temple expansion and infrastructure improvement, ₹96 crore for development of surrounding areas, and ₹75 crore for Godavari ghat development. Once completed, these projects are expected to significantly enhance facilities for pilgrims.

Meanwhile, Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy participated in Sri Rama Navami celebrations at Thimmapur near Hyderabad , while Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar attended the Sita Rama Kalyanam at the Mahashakti temple in Karimnagar . Grand processions were organised in Hyderabad and other major towns, with streets echoing chants of “Jai Shri Ram” , creating a vibrant spiritual atmosphere across the state.
