Grand Garuda seva marks fifth day of annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala

Tirumala witnessed a spectacular display of devotion as the annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara entered its fifth day on Sunday. The highlight of the day was the Garuda Vahana Seva, where the Lord appeared atop the divine Garuda, blessing tens of thousands of devotees. The evening procession drew massive crowds, with over two lakh devotees filling the Madaveedhi galleries, eagerly awaiting a glimpse of the deity.

The influx of pilgrims led to significant congestion around Alipiri in Tirupati and in the devotees’ accommodation areas in Tirumala, with vehicles lining the roads in large numbers. Despite this, devotees were enthralled by the divine darshan.

On this special day, the Lord is adorned with the annual Lakshmi Haram and Makarakanti ornaments, traditionally reserved for Garuda Seva. Earlier in the day, Lord Venkateswara appeared in his resplendent Mohini avatar, captivating devotees with his divine presence. Notable attendees of the Garuda Seva included TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu and Executive Officer Anil Kumar.

The Tirumala Brahmotsavams commenced on September 23 and will conclude on October 2. These are the first grand celebrations under the chairmanship of B.R. Naidu, with TTD making extensive arrangements to ensure smooth conduct and convenience for devotees from across the globe.

The festival continues to attract large crowds, reflecting the enduring devotion and faith of pilgrims who travel from near and far to witness this sacred event.
