Grace Harris Blitz Powers RCB to Crushing 9-Wicket Win Over UP Warriorz

Royal Challengers Bengaluru stormed to the top of the Women’s Premier League standings on Monday with a crushing nine-wicket win over UP Warriorz, powered by Grace Harris’ blistering 40-ball 85 . RCB chased down 144 in just 12.1 overs , producing one of the most dominant run-chases of the season and significantly boosting their net run rate .

Sent in to bat, UP Warriorz began cautiously but steadily, reaching 36/1 in the powerplay . RCB’s bowlers, however, kept the pressure tight from the outset. Deepti anchored the innings with an unbeaten 45 off 35 balls , striking five fours and a six , while Dottin chipped in with a fluent 40 not out off 37 balls , including three fours and a six .

The pair accelerated sharply in the death overs, collecting 67 runs in the last six overs . Dottin took on off-spinner Shreyanka Patil with a boundary and six in the 15th over, while Deepti launched a straight maximum off Nadine de Klerk in the penultimate over. The final over yielded 15 runs, with Deepti striking two boundaries and Dottin adding another, lifting UP Warriorz to 143/5 .

However, what followed was a chase that turned into a demolition, led by Grace Harris , who produced one of the most destructive innings of the season. One of the standout moments of the innings was an enormous 86-metre six , struck deep over midwicket a shot that reflected Harris’ timing, balance and sheer striking power.

At the other end, skipper Smriti Mandhana played the perfect supporting role with a classy unbeaten 47 off 32 balls , including nine boundaries . Mandhana ensured there was no dip in tempo while Harris attacked relentlessly, and the pair stitched together a match-winning 137-run partnership , combining brutal power with calm control.

RCB eventually completed the chase in 12.1 overs , with Mandhana and Richa Ghosh finishing the job after Harris fell with only seven runs remaining. The emphatic win marked RCB’s second consecutive victory , pushing them to the top of the points table and strengthening their early-season momentum.

For UP Warriorz, the match exposed familiar concerns a sudden middle-order collapse and a bowling unit that struggled once the chase slipped away.
