Govt Stands Firm with Families of Duty-Bound Employees Who Lost Lives

The Telangana government has extended financial assistance to the families of electricity department employees who lost their lives while on duty . Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy , along with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and other ministers, distributed accident insurance cheques of ₹1 crore each to the bereaved families .

The assistance was provided to the families of Orsu Suresh and Mukhtar Beg during a programme held at the Assembly Committee Hall. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the initiative aims to ensure that families do not face financial hardship after losing their primary breadwinner. He assured that the government would continue to support families of employees who die in the line of duty.

He added that the programme was conducted during the Assembly session to boost the morale of employees.

The Chief Minister also announced that the coverage under the Rajiv Aarogyasri scheme has been increased from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh to strengthen healthcare security . Additionally, families identified through the CPEC survey will be provided insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh.

Several ministers and senior officials attended the programme.
