
Government Committed to Honouring Every Promise: Atchannaidu
Reiterating the coalition government’s commitment to honour every election promise, State Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu on Saturday said welfare and development remain the administration’s top priorities. He chaired a high-level review meeting with officials of the Panchayat Raj and APSIDC departments at his camp office in Nimmada, Srikakulam district .
Taking stock of ongoing development works in the constituency, the Minister reviewed their progress and discussed challenges being faced at the field level . He instructed officials to complete all infrastructure projects funded by the Central and State governments on a war footing by the end of March .
Emphasising the government’s resolve to eliminate mud roads , Mr. Atchannaidu called for faster execution of cement concrete roads and drainage works . He stressed that there should be no compromise on quality and warned that strict action would be taken against officials found negligent.
With farmer welfare at the forefront, the Minister said special focus was being placed on irrigation projects . Officials were directed to prepare proposals for two new lift irrigation schemes at Vadrada and Kondapeta in Santabommali mandal , besides expediting the pending works of the Madanagopala Sagar project .
The Minister also congratulated K. Ramesh of Kondapeta village, Pattupuram Panchayat , on his selection as an Assistant Section Officer in the APPSC Group-II results , describing his achievement as inspirational for the youth.
Later, during the grievance redressal programme , the Minister received petitions from the public and directed officials to resolve them within stipulated deadlines.
