
Government Assures Transparent Transfers in Health Department Under GO-38
State Medical and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha clarified that the transfer process in the medical and health department will be conducted with full transparency in accordance with Government Order (GO) 38 .
He stated this during a meeting held on Monday in his chamber at the Secretariat with representatives of the government doctors’ association. The meeting was attended by Special Chief Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu, Joint Secretary Ayesha, Health and Family Welfare Commissioner Dr. Sangeetha Satyanarayana, TGMIDC Managing Director Gaurav Uppal, Director of Medical Education Narendra Kumar, TVVP Commissioner Ajay Kumar, TGDA President Narahari, General Secretary Lalu Prasad , along with other representatives.
During the meeting, representatives of the government doctors’ association raised several issues. They requested that transfers be conducted in an offline and transparent manner , as done in earlier general transfer exercises. They also sought exemption from transfers for TGDA office bearers , inclusion of doctors who have completed two years of service in the transfer process, and opportunities for doctors working in district medical colleges to be transferred to Hyderabad-based medical colleges .
Responding to the suggestions, Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha reiterated that transfers will be implemented strictly as per the GO with full transparency . He said the government is strengthening medical education and modernising hospitals to ensure better healthcare services to the public, and stressed the need for the full cooperation of doctors in achieving these goals.
The Minister further explained that transfers will be carried out based on the requirements of colleges and hospitals. He assured that necessary steps will be taken to ensure that administrative, teaching, and medical services continue without any disruption . He also stated that doctors who have served for long periods in district medical colleges and hospitals will be given appropriate opportunities in the transfer process.
