Gopichand’s 'Singa' Completes 50% Of Shoot, New Poster Reveals Fierce Soldier Avatar
Macho Star Gopichand is gearing up for another high-voltage action spectacle with 'Singa'. The upcoming Telugu action entertainer has completed 50 per cent of its shooting, and the makers have unveiled a striking new poster that offers a glimpse of the actor’s fierce avatar. With the next major shooting schedule planned for December, the film is steadily building anticipation among fans.
Directed by renowned action choreographer Vvenkat, 'Singa' marks his directorial debut. The film is produced by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under the 70mm Entertainments banner.
The latest poster presents Gopichand against a dense forest backdrop, holding a large, ornate weapon. The rugged setting and his intense screen presence add to the mystery surrounding his character. While the film’s first-look poster, released on the occasion of the actor’s birthday in June, showcased him in a bloodied, aggressive avatar, the new reveal offers another glimpse of the action-packed world the makers are creating.
The production team has already completed an extensive shooting schedule on specially constructed forest sets, designed to recreate a dramatic wilderness setting. According to reports, the team is pleased with the progress and is preparing for the next phase of filming, which is expected to begin in December on larger sets.
Malayalam actress Anarkali Nazar plays the female lead, marking her debut in Telugu cinema. The film also boasts an experienced technical crew, with Shamdat ISC handling cinematography, Sam CS composing the music, and National Award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad overseeing the editing. Production design is being handled by Rama Krishna and Monika, while Sachin Sudhakaran and Hariharan are responsible for sound design.
The title glimpse, released earlier this year, introduced Gopichand in a menacing avatar against a forest setting, accompanied by tribal-inspired sounds that heightened the film’s intense atmosphere. The project is expected to combine high-octane action, emotional depth and gripping drama, with the makers aiming to deliver a grand theatrical experience.
With half the shoot completed and another major schedule on the horizon, 'Singa' is shaping up to be an important addition to Gopichand’s action-oriented filmography. However, the makers have yet to announce the film’s release date.
