Google Launches Gemini 3 Pro With Enhanced AI Mode and Real-Time Interactive Tools
The Gemini 3 Pro artificial intelligence model has been released by Google in preview, and its rollout across regions has been placed under a gradual schedule. The model’s capabilities have been integrated into both the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search, as confirmed in Google’s official product updates. A major upgrade known as generative interfaces has been introduced in both platforms, allowing visual, interactive and dynamically created layouts to be generated in response to user prompts. Google’s latest artificial intelligence model, Gemini 3 Pro, has been released in preview, with initial availability confirmed for the United States through the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. While the global rollout is planned to occur gradually, no official timeline has been announced for India, leaving Indian users awaiting the arrival of the upgraded AI features. The company has indicated that the expansion will be phased, but specific dates for access in markets outside the US, including India, have not been disclosed. Users in India are expected to receive the redesigned Gemini app, generative interfaces, and advanced automation tools eventually, but they will need to wait until Google confirms local availability.
Gemini App Redesigned With Modern Interface
A refreshed interface has been rolled out for the Gemini app on Android, iOS and the web. A cleaner and more modern design has been implemented to make navigation easier for users. Chats can now be started more quickly, and a centralised My Stuff folder has been added for locating images, videos, reports and other files created through Gemini. Integration with Google’s Shopping Graph has also been enabled to support easier product browsing and discovery.
Generative Interfaces Added for Visual and Interactive Responses
The biggest change has been brought in through generative interfaces, which are designed to turn text-based prompts into interactive layouts. Two forms of this system have been introduced.
Visual Layouts
A magazine-style display has been enabled where photos, sliders, carousels and tappable modules are presented. For example, when a travel itinerary is requested, options for trip types, trip duration and points of interest may be shown visually. A personalized plan can then be prepared by the AI without the user needing to type detailed instructions.
Dynamic Views
Custom user interfaces have been made possible through Gemini 3 Pro’s agentic coding abilities. If users request an explanation of an art gallery or a historical concept, the model can generate an interactive window where elements can be clicked, scrolled and explored visually. Google has stated that these features will initially appear selectively, with each user receiving one of the interface experiments for comparison.
Gemini Agent Introduced for Multi-Step Tasks
An experimental automation feature called Gemini Agent has been introduced. Multi-step tasks such as adding reminders, managing Google Calendar, organising Gmail inboxes and drafting email replies can now be performed. Web-based tasks such as appointment bookings can also be handled. This feature has been made available initially only on the web for Google AI Ultra subscribers in the United States.
AI Mode in Search Upgraded With Gemini 3 Pro
AI Mode in Google Search has been strengthened with the integration of Gemini 3 Pro. A new “Thinking” model option has been added for subscribers of Google AI Pro and AI Ultra in the US. Google has stated that complex questions will now be automatically routed to Gemini 3 Pro, while simpler questions will continue to be handled by faster, smaller models. Rate limits have currently been placed on the new model, with an increase promised in the coming weeks.
Generative Interfaces Added to Search as Well
The same generative interface technology has been extended to AI Mode in Search. Visual layouts, interactive simulations and custom tools can now be generated in real time as part of search responses. As a confirmed example, an interactive mortgage loan calculator can be created directly within a search result when a user is comparing home loan options. Google has said such tools will be produced automatically whenever the model detects that an interactive element can improve user understanding.
Public Uses and Benefits
The new features introduced with Gemini 3 Pro are expected to make everyday digital tasks significantly easier for the public. Information can now be understood more quickly through visual and interactive layouts that replace long text with carousels, sliders and clickable elements. Planning activities such as travel, shopping or comparing products can be completed faster as the AI creates ready-to-use modules and personalised options. Search results have also been made more useful, with the ability to generate custom tools like calculators, comparison charts and interactive simulations directly within the interface, removing the need to visit multiple websites. Productivity is enhanced through the Gemini Agent, which can organise calendars, manage email inboxes, draft replies and complete web-based actions on behalf of users. Students and professionals benefit from more accurate reasoning and structured explanations, while creators can generate visual layouts, storyboards and concepts with minimal effort. Overall, the redesigned app interface and new AI capabilities aim to offer clearer information, faster decision-making and greater convenience in daily tasks.
