Hyderabad is all set to witness a golfing spectacle as the prestigious Telangana Golconda Masters tees off on Tuesday at the Hyderabad Golf Association (HGA). With a prize purse of ₹1 crore, the event has drawn 123 golfers, including some of India’s leading professionals and notable international names, making it one of the most competitive tournaments on the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) calendar.

Among the top Indian golfers in the fray are Arjun Prasad, seasoned campaigner Udayan Mane, and consistent performer Angad Chema. The international field adds further glamour, featuring Czech Republic’s Stepan Danek, Sri Lanka’s N Thangaraja and K Prabagaran, Bangladesh’s Jamal Hossain and Badal Hossain, Italy’s Federico Zucchetti, Nepal’s Subash Tamang and Uganda’s Joshua Seale.

The home crowd will have plenty to cheer for as Hyderabad-based professionals Mohd Azhar, Vishesh Sharma, Rupinder Singh Gill, and Rahul Malik take to the course. They will be joined by promising local amateurs, including Tarun Ajay, T Rishab Singh, and Saatvic Kumar Singh, who will look to make their mark on the big stage.

“It is a proud moment for us to welcome some of the country’s finest golfing talent to our course. This event not only gives our members a chance to watch top-class competition but also showcases our magnificent golf course to a global audience through the live telecast,” said HGA president BVK Raju.

The tournament is promoted by the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation.
