Aiming to redefine public access to government information, GOIPress, a new digital platform, was officially launched on September 5, 2025. Founded by entrepreneurs Digant Sharma and Sandeep Bali, the platform consolidates press releases, notifications, publications, and other data issued by the Government of India across its various departments and agencies.

With over 8,000 official websites currently publishing government information, citizens and businesses often struggle to locate critical updates, particularly when content is available only in scanned PDF files buried deep within complex site structures. Even search engines fail to capture much of this material. GOIPress seeks to address this gap by aggregating and presenting information in real time, offering what its founders describe as unprecedented accessibility.

At launch, the portal was able to publish government updates within five seconds of release. Over the next 30 days, the system plans to expand its processing capacity to handle up to 10 articles per second, enhancing speed and scalability.

“GOIPress is built to ensure no piece of government information goes unnoticed,” said co-founder Digant Sharma. He emphasized the importance of timely access to details, noting that missing even a single government update could translate into lost opportunities for citizens or enterprises.

Transparency and AI* *i* *ntegration

Unlike conventional news outlets, GOIPress positions itself as a neutral and transparent aggregator, providing concise, unbiased summaries of government documents along with direct links to the original sources.

The platform will also soon roll out an AI assistant accessible through WhatsApp, enabling users to request targeted information. For instance, stakeholders can inquire about ongoing tenders in specific sectors such as education in Odisha and receive instant responses complete with links to official documents.

GOIPress is building a suite of advanced tools to support businesses, institutions, and policymakers. These include:

• Policy Lifecycle Tracker – Interactive visualization of legislation from proposal through amendments.

• Accountability Ledger – Linking government commitments from budgets and speeches to outcomes such as tenders and projects.

• Deep Data Discovery – AI-powered indexing of data that otherwise requires RTI (Right to Information) requests.

• Stakeholder Intelligence Tracker – Aggregated data on bureaucrats and political figures.

• Dynamic Governance Timeline – Chronological mapping of events like policy changes and transfers.

• AI Process Navigator – Simplification of complex approval and compliance procedures.

• Curated Opportunity Feed – Personalized streams of tenders, policy updates, and grants.

These features are expected to position GOIPress as a critical tool not only for Indian citizens but also for ministries, financial institutions, large corporations, and foreign investors seeking insights into India’s governance and regulatory environment.

Co-founder Digant Sharma brings diverse entrepreneurial experience spanning agri-tech, oil and gas, environmental technology, retail, brand consulting, and coal trading. Alongside his business pursuits, he has been actively involved in several social initiatives, including SAKSHAM (Sampoorna Aay Kar Suvidha Mission), Undertrial Welfare Association (UTWA), Veer Survivors, Stop Farmers Suicide, and cultural projects such as the Rashtriya Shree Ramleela Shodh Sansthan.

Sandeep Bali, the co-founder, has worked extensively in energy, environment, and infrastructure sectors, collaborating with both central and state governments. He previously held leadership roles in organizations such as Euromoney, Lebhar Friedman, The Times Group, Baidyanath, and Reliance. His recent projects focus on pollution control and urban flooding solutions.

The two founders share a 22-year friendship, dating back to their school days, and jointly serve as directors of the Painganga Foundation, a non-profit supporting farmer welfare in association with Torus Innotech.

“GOIPress is more than just a news portal it is a bridge to government PDF documents that remain invisible to search engines,” said Bali, highlighting the platform’s focus on accessibility and reliability.

By centralizing government communication and enhancing discoverability, GOIPress is positioned as a public service platform aimed at improving transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the dissemination of official information. Its upcoming AI-driven tools are expected to make governance data more actionable for stakeholders across society.

With its launch, Sharma and Bali envision GOIPress becoming a key enabler for citizens, policymakers, and businesses alike, ensuring timely access to vital government information that can shape decisions at every level.
