Godrej Industries Unveils New Brand Identity, Targets ₹5 Lakh Crore Valuation by 2031
One of India’s most respected business houses, the Godrej Industries Group , has unveiled a fresh brand identity and a bold long-term vision that reflects both its historic legacy and future ambitions. With a target of reaching a combined market capitalization of ₹5,00,000 crore by 2031 , the Group is positioning itself for a new phase of expansion across businesses ranging from consumer goods and real estate to agriculture, chemicals, and financial services.
The announcement was made at Godrej One in Mumbai , where the Group introduced its new purpose statement, “Crafting tomorrow since 1897.” The phrase reflects the company’s attempt to blend innovation with responsibility while staying rooted in the values established by founder Ardeshir Godrej more than a century ago.
The Group said the refreshed identity is not just about a new logo or visual system, but about creating a stronger and more unified direction for all its businesses. The new branding includes a modern visual language, custom typography called GI Sans , a sonic identity, and even a signature fragrance aimed at creating a consistent experience across digital and physical platforms.
Pirojsha Godrej , Chairperson Designate of the Group, said the new purpose reflects the belief that growth and values must move together. According to the company, the Group has already recorded more than 20 percent compound annual growth in both sales and profits over the last five years and now plans to maintain annual sales growth above 15 percent along with over 20 percent EPS growth.
As part of its future roadmap, the conglomerate also plans to expand from three listed companies to five publicly listed platforms , a move expected to strengthen investor confidence and business visibility.
Beyond financial growth, the company highlighted its sustainability and inclusion goals. The Group aims to achieve net-zero operations by 2035 and build a planet-positive supply chain by 2047 . It has also announced a target of ensuring 40 percent representation of women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and persons with disabilities across the organization within five years.
The Group’s philanthropic arm, the Godrej Foundation , is also preparing to significantly increase its social spending after creating a stronger funding corpus in 2025.
With this transformation, Godrej is not only refreshing its image but also attempting to redefine how legacy Indian business groups evolve in a fast-changing global economy.
