Girls Must Break Limitations and Reach New Heights: MLA Galla Madhavi
Girls should overcome the limitations placed on them and aspire to reach the highest levels in life, Guntur West MLA Galla Madhavi said while encouraging students to pursue education with determination and confidence.
Madhavi was speaking at a programme held on Sunday at Rajaka Bhavan on 11/2 Line in Arundalpet, Guntur, where scholarships, blankets and school bags were distributed to meritorious students from both government and private schools. As the chief guest, she presented scholarships to the girl students who had excelled in their studies.
Recalling how educational and employment opportunities for girls were once limited, Madhavi said society had changed significantly and women were now making their mark across different fields. She said the large participation of girls in the programme was encouraging and reflected the positive changes taking place in society.
She also spoke about the challenges faced by students who leave their families and hometowns to stay in hostels for their education. While hostel life can be difficult at times, she said it also gives students an opportunity to interact with people from different regions, cultures and backgrounds. Such experiences, she added, can help young people develop a broader outlook and understand different perspectives.
The MLA urged students to set clear goals for themselves and work consistently until they achieve them. Education, she said, should not be viewed merely as a means of securing a job, but as a foundation for taking up greater responsibilities in society.
Madhavi particularly encouraged girls to consider entering public life and politics so they can eventually contribute to decisions that shape the future of society. Education is a powerful tool for transforming lives, she said, adding that it had also played an important role in helping her reach her present position.
She advised students to take care of their health, remain curious and continue learning new things. With focus, perseverance and a clear sense of purpose, she said, students can overcome challenges and move towards their goals.
