Gen-Z will shape developed India: PM Modi

Emphasising the growing opportunities across sectors, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed strong faith in the capabilities and confidence of Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha, urging them to contribute to nation-building through hard work, discipline and focus. Addressing a national programme marking Veer Baal Diwas , the Prime Minister said age should never be a barrier to taking on big responsibilities.

Speaking to the youth, PM Modi said their generation would play a decisive role in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat . He stressed that greatness is determined by deeds and achievements, not by age, and encouraged young people to face challenges fearlessly.

The Prime Minister cautioned against distractions such as short-term popularity and urged youths to draw inspiration from great personalities who dedicated their lives to the nation. He said individual success should translate into national success.

Highlighting reforms under the NDA-led government, PM Modi said India has moved beyond an atmosphere of despair and now offers opportunities in every field. He cited initiatives such as Digital India, Startup India and Khelo India as platforms enabling youth to learn, innovate and excel.

Referring to the courage of the Veer Sahibzadas, PM Modi urged the youth to dream big, work hard and never let their confidence waver, noting that India’s future depends on the strength, courage and dedication of its children and youth.

He also highlighted initiatives like Atal Tinkering Labs and the National Education Policy, which promote innovation, technology-driven learning and education in the mother tongue.

Veer Baal Diwas, observed on December 26, honours the bravery and martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Sahibzadas, who sacrificed their lives in 1704 for faith and righteousness.
