Gangster Rohit Godara's Ancestral Home Razed Overnight in Rajasthan, Police Launch Probe

, A large section of the ancestral residence of gangster Rohit Godara was mysteriously demolished overnight in Rajasthan's Bikaner district , prompting police to launch an investigation into the incident.

According to officials, the demolition took place at the family's house in Loonkaransar town when no one was present on the property. Police suspect that an earthmover machine was used to bring down a substantial portion of the building.

Loonkaransar Circle Officer Ranveer Singh said police were informed about the incident on Tuesday morning, after which the local station house officer inspected the site. Initial findings indicate that heavy machinery was used during the demolition.

Residents living nearby claimed they were unaware of any activity during the night. Police said the houses in the area are widely spaced, and villagers suggested the sound of the machine may have gone unnoticed because of air coolers operating in nearby homes.

Investigators are now examining CCTV footage and other available evidence to identify those responsible. No formal complaint has been filed so far, but officials said appropriate legal action will follow once a complaint is received.

The house was earlier occupied by Godara's father Sant Das, mother Gita, brother Hanuman Swami , and his family. However, none of them were staying there when the demolition occurred.

Police said Godara's parents and brother are currently in judicial custody in separate extortion cases. Hanuman Swami was arrested in an extortion case registered in Sri Ganganagar , while his parents face allegations in another case lodged in Churu's Ratangarh .

Officials added that Hanuman's wife and children had vacated the property around two weeks ago after requesting neighbours to look after their crops.

Meanwhile, Rohit Godara , believed to be hiding in Azerbaijan , remains a wanted fugitive. His name recently surfaced during Operation Hardball , an international crackdown targeting organised crime networks, where investigators reportedly identified him as the European head of the Lawrence Bishnoi crime syndicate .
