Gadwal collector hits the fields on bike to resolve land issues

Governance is not just about AC rooms and paperwork, and Gadwal district collector B.M. Santosh demonstrated this firsthand. Taking a hands-on approach, he visited farmers directly in their fields to understand their problems and show how effective administration works on the ground.

To address pending land records and Bhubharati applications, the collector personally rode a bike to villages, inspecting the fields where farmers are cultivating. He examined boundaries and records himself, rather than relying solely on office files.

Santosh also met with farmers to discuss land disputes and survey issues, listening carefully to their concerns. By comparing old records with current ground realities, he identified where injustices had occurred. He instructed officials to conduct surveys transparently and fairly wherever needed, emphasizing that every farmer deserves justice.

Farmers were impressed by his accessibility and simplicity. They described it as a rare experience to see a senior official personally inspecting their fields. Many said their confidence in getting solutions to their problems had increased.

“Land is life for a farmer, and these issues cannot be solved sitting in chairs alone,” the collector remarked. His hands-on approach sends a clear message that governance works best when it reaches the people directly, proving that real change happens only when administration is close to the community.
