From Delhi to Washington and London, global voices on Wednesday stood in solidarity with India as the nation marked the Pahalgam terror attack anniversary , reaffirming a collective stand against terrorism while remembering the victims of the 2025 attack.

In India, President Droupadi Murmu led tributes, stating that the country remains resolute to defeat terrorism in all forms . She paid homage to the 26 victims of the attack in Jammu and Kashmir, expressing condolences to the bereaved families and assuring them of the nation’s unwavering support.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute, saying the victims will never be forgotten. He said India stands united in grief and resolve and will never bow to terrorism, adding that the “heinous designs of terrorists will never succeed.”

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi also said India will not bow to terrorism and stressed national unity in confronting extremism.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh warned Pakistan with a “ dot, dot, dot ” remark, reiterating India’s firm and calibrated response to cross-border terrorism and calling terror the greatest enemy of humanity.

On April 22, 2025, 25 tourists and a local pony operator were killed in the Baisaran meadows of Pahalgam by Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists. All three attackers were later eliminated in Operation Mahadev in July 2025. In response, India launched Operation Sindoor , targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Internationally, the United States reaffirmed its support through Ambassador Sergio Gor, stating it stands with India in its fight against terrorism. The United Kingdom also paid tribute to the victims while reiterating its solidarity with India. Several other countries joined in backing India’s anti-terror stance, underscoring growing global consensus against extremism.

Security remains heightened across Jammu and Kashmir as commemorations continue, while tourism shows gradual recovery supported by strengthened safety measures and monitoring systems.
