Facing a determined challenge from Monica Jajoo’s team in the final, the defending champions displayed remarkable composure under pressure. The contest, held at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, saw Formidables edge ahead with a total of 88.5 International Match Points , narrowly outscoring their opponents who finished with 78 points .
The winning squad featured a blend of experience and tactical brilliance, with Sumit Mukherjee, Kaustabh Nandi, Rajeshwar Tiwari, Kaustabh Milind Bendre, Sayantan Kushari, and Sagnik Roy forming a well-synchronized unit. Their ability to stay consistent across sessions ultimately made the difference in a closely fought final.
For their triumph, Formidables were awarded a cash prize of ₹1,80,000 , while the runners-up secured ₹1,20,000 for their impressive campaign.
Meanwhile, the championship also witnessed intense competition in the MP Pairs event , where Aloke Kumar Sadhu emerged victorious with a stellar 730.8 match points . The duo of Samir Basak and Sandip Datta finished runners-up with 699.7 points , underlining the high level of competition throughout the tournament.
