Five Indian Women Golfers Tee Off at Riyadh in LET Season Opener
Five Indian golfers will tee off at the PIF Saudi Ladies International , the season-opening event of the 2026 Ladies European Tour (LET) , taking place from Wednesday to Saturday at Riyadh Golf Club . The participation of five Indians in a single LET event reflects the depth and competitiveness of India’s women’s golf on the global stage.
Diksha Dagar , India’s top-ranked LET player (25th in 2025), will look to build on her Top-3 finish in 2023 , aiming to once again secure a podium position. Aditi Ashok , a five-time LET winner who also competes on the LPGA Tour, remains India’s most consistent performer internationally. Hitaashee Bakshi earned her LET card with a top-3 finish at the Hero Indian Open , part of a historic showing where three Indian golfers finished in the top-5 , highlighting the country’s growing presence in top positions. Avani Prashanth , who had an impressive debut season, and Pranavi Urs , who recovered strongly from an injury in 2025, complete the Indian contingent.
The PIF Saudi Ladies International will be contested as a 72-hole stroke play tournament , with a cut after 36 holes . The event offers a $5 million USD prize purse, part of a record-breaking €40 million total for the 2026 LET season. A field of 120 players from over 30 countries will compete, including top international stars such as Shannon Tan (2025 LET Order of Merit winner), Patty Tavatanakit (2024 champion), and Charley Hull, a four-time LET winner and current world No. 5. The tournament also features numerous Solheim Cup players, ensuring high-level competition.
India’s golfers have demonstrated that they are not only participating but contending at the top of LET events. With multiple players finishing in top-3 and top-5 positions, India is establishing a strong, consistent presence in international women’s golf, combining experience, emerging talent, and resilience.
The seventh edition of the tournament , and the third consecutive year at Riyadh Golf Club , promises to set the tone for a record-breaking LET season , giving Indian players the platform to showcase their skills against the world’s best.
