First regional ‘Sadhana Shrankhala 2026’ workshop to be held in Vijayawada on Sept 29-30

The Capacity Building Commission (CBC) will organise the first regional workshop under ‘Sadhana Shrankhala 2026’ in Vijayawada on September 29 and 30, as part of efforts under Mission Karmayogi to transform government training institutions into strategic capacity-building organisations.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Jitendra Singh are expected to participate in the two-day workshop.

The regional consultations are aimed at taking the national discussion on institutional reforms to states and their training institutions. The programme follows a series of consultations held over the past year on strengthening the role and capabilities of government training institutions.

The process included Sadhana Saptah 2026, held from April 2 to 8, regional task force meetings and a national conference in May. The consultations identified the need for training institutions to move beyond their traditional role of conducting courses and evolve into strategic organisations capable of preparing government personnel for changing administrative requirements.

Senior officials from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry will participate in the Vijayawada workshop, along with heads of training institutions and other concerned officials.

A major focus will be the proposed Training Institute Transformation Framework, which will cover institutional governance, leadership, management capacity, collaboration, faculty development, employee capability enhancement and the use of digital and emerging technologies.

The framework will draw on the experiences, priorities and local requirements of participating states and institutions. Recommendations from the regional consultations will be consolidated to identify practical priorities and develop an implementation roadmap.

The Unified New-Age National Training Initiatives (UNNATI) portal, launched during Sadhana Saptah, will provide the digital platform for implementing the initiative.

After Vijayawada, Sadhana Shrankhala consultations will be taken to other regions. The CBC will consolidate the recommendations before finalising the transformation framework and action priorities aimed at creating a coordinated, agile and future-ready capacity-building system.
